Description
The Stud Horse cubes are a highly palatable ration designed primarily for broodmares during pregnancy and lactation, however its composition also makes it suitable for feeding to other stud animals, providing ample nutrients for working stallions and growing young stock also.
Special attention has been given to the nutrient needs of the mare during the last 3 months of pregnancy and during lactation. During the last three months of pregnancy 60% of foetal development occurs and 40% of the foal’s skeletal structure develops in utero. Stud cubes provide micro-nutrients, such as Vitamin K, to assist in the developing skeletal structure of the foal. Advantages of feeding mares well include good foetal development and higher milk production.
For stud animals carrying a little too much condition, Stud pellets can also be fed in reduced quantities alongside our Balancers to offer flexibility in the calorie content of the diet whilst maintaining essential nutrient levels.
